26th of October 2014, on the way to Cap Spartel, Northern Morocco

The old man sits by the roadside, selling poor things to people passing by. He stops me. – I was a sailor – he says and pride sparkles in his eyes – but my boat sank – his voice turns sad for a moment – It is the will of God – he adds seriously. He doesn’t look to regret or protest. I think you are lucky old man. Good and Evil, fate and freedom, everything is already established. Your belief protects you against everything, your soul plays a safe game. Life is easier if you are sure a paradise is waiting for you at the end of the way.
